More information

Pvt William D. Harrelson joined the Regular Army in Jacksonville, Florida on 13 September 1940.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Fosse, Belgium at Block H, Row 2, Grave 24.

According to Mr. Priscilla Gaskins, his niece, Pvt Harrelson was born in 1922 or 1923. He went to Florida with his grandfather, who signed for him and probably he gave a false date of his birth so he could join the army. Also according to Mrs. Gaskins, he was killed in a motorcycle accident when he returned from a visit to a girl.
