Cpl Pete Zacchi joined the Regular Army at Fort Thomas, Newport, Kentucky on 11 September 1940.
He joined his unit from a replacement depot on 27 June 1944 and was lightly wounded in action on 13 July 1944.

He is buried next to his brother John Zacchi, who died on the same day.
