S/Sgt Adolf Moravec was a graduate of South High School and a former employe of the Wilson Packing Company.He was promoted to Sergeant on 20 July 1944 and lightly wounded in action on 8 August 1944 for which he received a Purple Heart. After recovering, he returned to his unit.
