Charles Bartolotta graduated from Washington High School ans was employed at the Sherelis' Coal & Coke Company.

He enlisted on 13 April 1944 at Fort Dix, New Jersey and was sent overseas in December 1944..

He was taken prionser on 28 December 1944 and died of wounds in a German prison camp. The exact location where he died is not known.
