1st Lt Saul B. Kadison attended college for three years and was a retail manager before he enlisted at Fort Jay, Governors Island, New York on 27 May 1942.Lt Kadison was awarded the Silver Star Medal posthumously. The citation cited:On 2 October 1944 at Sivry, France, during a fierce counterattack, Lt Kadison deployed his mortar section as riflemen and led them with such skill and aggressiveness that he drove the enemy from the sector and subsequently caused the complete surrender of a German garrison.
