Pfc William P. Reddert graduated from Madison high school in 1943. He joined the U.S. Army Reserve at Fort Dix, New Jersey on 18 December 1943.He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
He is remembered at the Hanover Cemetery in East Hanover, Morris County, New Jersey.
As boys, Robert L. Hogeman, William P. Reddert and John O. Stoddard had belonged to the same Madison Boy Scout Troop, No. 25. At the request of their families, they were buried side-by-side.
