Pfc William T. Nason was employed in textile factory before he enlisted in Portland, Maine on 27 January 1942. He was sent overseas in July 1944.

He was killed artillery shell fragments in his chest.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Hochfelden, France.

He is remembered at the Highland Cemetery in Limerick, Maine.
