Pvt Russell T. Suppers attended college and was employed in fabrication of metal products before he enlisted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 1 January 1943.

He was killed by small arms fire in his chest.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Saint-Juan, France.
