S/Sgt Joseph W. Magnuszewski enlisted in Buffalo, New York on 31 August 1943.

He was reported wounded in action in Italy on 13 June 1944 and for the second time in France on 8 Octobe 194r, just 15 days after he was discharged from hospital.
