1st Lt Lewis B. Fisher volunteered for the Air Corps of the Army of the United States at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas on 15 June 1944.

1st Lt Harold D. Cupitt:
#1 and #2 engines were on fire then ship blew up before entering clouds.

T/Sgt Neal H. Modert:
I think plane was out of control so that he could not easily get out before it exploded in the air at high altitude.

The crew is remembered on a memorial stone in Ceminy, Czechoslavakia.
