Pvt John J. Kline was raised, after the death of his mother, in the St. Mary’s Boys Orphans Asylum.He was employed by the Temple Theater before he joined the Regular Army in Rochester, New York in 1938. He was sent overseas in February 1943 and saw action in north Africa and Itlay before his unit was sent to France.
He was killed by small arms fire in the thorax.
