S/Sgt Edwin B. Nock graduated from Pennsylvania State University and was a clerk employed by the Pittsburgh Sales Office of the Republic Steel Corp.
He enlisted in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 12 April 1943.
He was awarded the Silver Star medal for his actions in Muntzenheim, France on 29 January 1945.
On 26 April 1945 he was wounded by small arms in the collon and hip. He died of gangrene caused by these wounds.
