S/Sgt Charles E. Zink graduated from St. Xavier High School.He joined his unit on 11 August 1944. He was first attached to the the Cannon Company and after his promotion to Staff Sergeant on 3 December 1944, he joined A Company.
S/Sgt Zink drowned when a boat in which he crossed the Rur River, capsized.
