Pfc Robert W. Seeger graduated from Arsenal Technical High School ad attended Butler University.He joined the U.S. Army Reserve in Indianapolis, Indiana on 5 October 1942. He joined his unit a from a replacement depot on 21 September 1944.
Pfc Seeger was reported missing in action during a night raid on Bauchem, on 29 October 1944. Investigation teams visited and searched the area of Bauchem on 17 June, 1 and 7 October and 6 November 1947 without any result.
He was officially declared dead one day and one year after he was reported missing in action.
