More information
S/Sgt Lester L. Baker worked on a farm before he enlisted in Dallas, Texas on 22 November 1943 and sent overseas in August, 1944.The IDPF of S/Sgt Baker mentions that he died of wounds in Kerkrade, Germany on 17 November 1944. Since Kerkrade is in The Netherlands, this information is wrong. Therefore the place were his unit fought on the given day is mentioned as the place of death. The only other explanation could be that he was wounded on an earlier date and that he was evacuated to Kerkrade, where he then died of his wounds.
