Emilio Moreno emigrated to the U.S. from Gibraltar under the name Emilio Moreno Catala. He and his family sailed with the SS Aquitania, arriving at New York City, on 6 March 1934.

Pvt Emilio Moreno New Britain High School with the class of 1940

He enlisted on 20 March 1944 at Fort Devens, Massachusetts. He joined his unit from aeplacement depot on 29 October 1944.
