Pfc Norman T. Dieckmann graduated from the Augusta High School in 1942.He enlisted at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri on 10 December 1942. Nearly a year later he was sent overseas
He was wounded when the tank he was servicing, was hit by an anti-tank rocket. He died the same day.
