Eugene S. Brown was a truck driver before his enlistment in the Army.T/Sgt Eugene S. Brown was with his unit since its activation in Fort Lewis, Washington on 16 May 1942.
At 2.45 am, an enemy airplane dropped several bombs. A direct hit on one of the houses, occupied by Service Company, killing eight men, all members of the Battalion Maintenance Platoon. Seven of these men are buried at Margraten Cemetery, see in the "Related Soldiers" section below.
