S/Sgt Roy L. Weatherford graduated from Sparta High School in 1940 and was employed at Pet Milk Company.He enlisted on 25 September 1942 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The airplane was attacked by enemy fighters.
Six crew members survived and were taken prisoner. Four men were killed.
