PfcRobert L. Wilson enlisted in Camp Blanding, Florida on 20 November 1942.
Robert L. Wilson was a very courageous young man who gave his life as a member of the 504th PIR. He was killed after the Waal River crossing and left a widowed mother who likely died of a broken heart when she learned that her only child would not return. Wilson was originally buried at Molenhoek, Holland temporary cemetery on Plot A, Row 10, Grave 194 and reburied at American Cemetery Margraten on 18 April 1949 as requested by W. Earl Brown.
