Pvt Francis L. Allen joined the Regular Army in Fort Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina on 12 July 1940. He attended high school for 3 years and worked on a farm before he joined the army. He suffered a perforation wound in the neck on 29 January 1945 and died of his wounds on 30 January 1945 in the 13th field hospital in Aywaille.He was disinterred on 21 November 1947 and given his final resting place on 11 August 1948.
