Sgt Harold W. Gess enlisted in Portland, Oregon on 20 May 1942.His twin brother, Gerald, was stationed at Camp Roberts and his brother, Orville served in the Pacific when he was killed.
He is commemorated on a monument unveiled in Ospel, the Netherlands.
