Pfc William T. Shockcor enlisted in Allentown, Pennsylvania on 3 August 1943.A graduate of the Williamsport High School, Private Shockcor enlisted in the Army Specialized Training Program while a student at Lehigh University. Upon cutailment of the program, he was assigned to the infantry and took basic training at Fort Benning, Ga. He later served at Camp Livingston, La., and finally at San Luis Obispo, Calif., prior to going abroad in February. The family moved to Allentown 2 years ago.
