Shortly after Henry Hooper was born, his mother left him in the care of his father, Albert Henry Hooper, who served in the Navy for more than 30 years. So Henry lived with his grandparents. He was in the relay track team in junior high school. He was a mechanic.Pfc Henry L. Hooper enlisted Seattle, Washington on 9 April 1943.
