Pvt James J. Cousins was a chauffeur before he enlisted in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 11 June 1942.From a letter dated 14 January 1945:
"A few more lines today to let you know I am ok, and in the best of health. Hope this finds you all the same back there. There is'nt any news over here. If there was I couldn't tell you about it anyhow. You see we are fighting for the four freedoms!!"
