Pfc Robert Boche worked for the WPA on a project on Queen Lane & Henry Avenue in Philadelphia before he enlisted on 11 June 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.He joined his unit from a replacement depot on 7 October 1944.
In November 1944 he was briefly hospitalised for an ear infection.
