2nd Lt William Bayley graduated from Lincoln High and attended Ripon College.He joined the National Guard on 15 October 1940 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He joined his unit from a replacement depot on 17 August 1944 and was lightly wounded in action on 26 August 1944.
