More information

S/Sgt Frank R. Goulet joined the Regular Army at Cochran Field, Macon, Georgia on 8 January 1940.

He was awarded the Silver Star Medal posthumously. The citation cited that Sgt Goulet distinguished himself by gallantry in action on 1 March 1945 in an attack across the wooded ridge near Olk, Germany. Sgt Goulet's platoon was ordered to clean out two machine guns and after deploying his men, rushed the machine gun nest firing as he ran and his men followed him and silenced the guns.
