Pfc Robert L. Hogeman Jr. attended college for one year before he joined the U.S. Army Reserve in Newark, New Jersey on 11 June 1943.He was killed by artillery fire.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
As boys, Robert L. Hogeman, William P. Reddert and John O. Stoddard had belonged to the same Madison Boy Scout Troop, No. 25. At the request of their families, they were buried side-by-side.
