S/Sgt George Cheran was the owner and director of the Cheran School of Hawaiian Music in the Maloney Bldg before he enlisted at Fort George G Meade, Maryland on 24 June 1941. He was sent overseas in October 1942. He landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day.
