Pvt Francis Linn was adopted by Forest and Alma Linn. He attended Bronaugh High School in Vernon County, Missouri.

He enlisted in February, 1943 and was sentoverseas in May 1944. He joined his unit from a replacement depot on 28 June 1944.

Pvt Linn is remembered at McKill Cemetery in Bronaugh, Vernon County, Missouri.
