More information

Pfc John J. Baldassar enlisted in Allentown, Pennsylvania on 9 September 1942. He volunteered as paratrooper and trained at Fort Benning in Georgia. He served in Africa, Italy and in northern Europe.

Pfc Baldassar was killed at Lagewald in Groesbeek and initially buried in a fieldgrave. His remains were recoverred and he was reburied at Margraten on 20 February 1946.
