1st Lt Richard C. Mervyn has been the Pilot of a C-47A that flew wounded troops, in the rear of the aircraft, back from the front to hospitals, when it went down on 14 April 1945. Presumably all aboard the aircraft were killed in wheather conditions of Zero – Zero.

His brother 1st Lt Robert D. Mervyn is buried at Plot G, Row 10, Grave 22.
