Pfc Robert L. Blaha attended Samuel Hamilton School and Perry High School. He was employed by the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad.

He was killed as an enemy truck, loaded with ammunition, exploded as he passed it.

Pfc Blaha was awarded the Purple Heart Medal a first time for wounds received in action two months before his death.
