Pvt Charles H. Stype was married to miss Mary L. Anderson in 1943.Charles Stype received a lieutenant's commission following his graduation from a military school but was discharged from the army. He rejoined the Army by volunteering for the U.S. Army Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio on 30 August 1944. He had been overseas for about five weeks when was killed.
