Pfc Floyd W. Haulman Sr. worked in Alameda as a carpenter for eight years before he enlisted in August 1944. He was sent overseas in January 1945He was reported wounded in action two weeks before his death.
His brother in law, Marine Sergeant Warren Harding Garman, lost his life on Iwo Jima on 20 February 1945.
