Sgt Robert J. Stoe enlisted in Altoona, Pennsylvania on 26 February 1943.A brother, Pvt Andrew F. Stoe, was wounded in Europe a short time after Sgt Stoe lost his life.
He died in Holland of wounds received in action in France.
