Pfc George R. Bomar attended high school for 1 year. He was a checker and employed by Sears Roebuck and Co., of Memphis, before he enlisted at Camp Forrest, Tennessee on 18 August 1944. Pfc Bomar went overseas in January, 1945. He was a member of the Atoka Presbyterian Church.He was initially buried in a temporary grave at Margraten on 1 April 1945. His remains were disinterred on 3 August 1948 and prepared and placed in a casket on 19 August 1948. He was given his final resting place on 11 January 1949.
