Pfc Joseph A. Critelli graduated from Newark High School in 1934. He was employed as an upholsterer by the Hallagan Manufacturing Co. before he enlisted on 10 March 1944 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was sent overseas on 7 November 1944.
