Gean L. Makin drove a truck for his father untill he enlisted on 13 July 1944 and was sent overseas on 30 December 1944.He was wounded in action on 26 February 1945 by shrapnel. He was immediately given first aid and evacuated to a hospital but he died of his wounds on 27 February 1945.
