Pfc James T. Swisher attended high school for 4 years and was a shipping and receiving clerk before he enlisted in Kalamazoo, Michigan on 20 November 1942.At the time of his death, his unit was stationed in Czechoslovakia to pass the time, waiting for discharge points.
He is remembered at the Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac, Cass County, Michigan.
