Cpl George Shubirg attended high school for four years and was employed by the Owens Corning Fiberglass Corporation before he enlisted in Columbus, Ohio on 22 April 1943. He was sent overseas in July 1944.He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
