Pfc Henry F. Hochevar enlisted in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 24 August 1943 and was sent overseas in October 1944.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his eye.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Hochfelden, France.
