Pfc Alton V. Harderson was a carpenter before he enlisted at Camp Joseph T. Robinson, Arkansas on 9 August 1944.

He was killed by small arms fire to the head.

His brother, Loyd A. Harderson, is buried at Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery.
