Pfc Andrew V. Giordano attended high school for 2 years and was a machinist before he enlisted in Newark, New Jersey on 17 June 1943.He was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action against an armed enemy while serving with the 90th Infantry Division, in France, on 14 August 1944.
