Sgt Stephen J. Dutko was employed at the Carbon Brick Plant before he enlisted in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 29 April 1941.

He was awarded the Silver Star Medal posthumously.

He is remembered at the Poland Riverside Cemetery in Poland, Riverside County, Ohio.
