Pvt William F. Donehower graduated from Pleasantville High School and was employed at the Philadelphia Navy Yard before he enlisted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 28 December 1943. He was sent overseas in July 1944.He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Hochfelden, France.
