T/4 Stanley C. Cranston was a textile worker, employed by the Collins and Aikman Co. before he enlisted in Providence, Rhode Island on 21 November 1942. He was sent overseas in January 1945.According to a witness, a German girl, who was with them, T/4 Cranston and Sgt Ernest Bauer were shot in the head by two Russians.
