Pvt Joseph Spooner attended the Our Lady of Victory Acedemy there and was employed by the department of public works in Plattsburgh.He enlisted on 8 April 1944 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He joined his unit from a replacement depot on 25 October 1944.
