S/Sgt Chester Marciszewski attended Benjamin Franklin High School and was employed by the American Laundry Machinery Company.He enlisted in Rochester, New York on 1 January 1943 and was sent overseas in May 1944. He joined his unit from a replacement depot on 5 July 1944. He was seriously wounded in action on 11 July 1944 and was promoted to Sergeant on 17 August and to Staff Sergeant on 1 November 1944.
